Etiquette of the Forums

Post by jcrennan »

Over the last few months and the quick expansion of this forum and new members many discussions have been seen by some members not to be beneficial to the group. I believe all information is vital however we need to start looking at the quality of the forum and the use of it by its members.

So I would apprecaiate if members could help to follows these basic guidelines
  • Remember to keep on topic of the thread/forum
Dont overkill a topic / Dont keep repeating yourself
This isn't a competition of who is right or who is best
    Slander/Abuse wont be tolerated
Please dont SPAM users with PM's
Try and discuss the important issues about collecting
We arent here to make money
    Dont discuss other members etc
AND please just think before posting in the way of manners, langauge and content.
To advertise listings on eBay you should list ONLY in the Buy/Sell -> Listed in eBay forum and should include, description, item number and username for best results.

You will always find people have different views, lets accept these views and move onto the next topic. Eg some people will always want to make the profit margin the most they can and others want to get/sell items as cheap as they can. Both are right in their own uses of the hobby.

Some topics have seemed to go around in circles (see example above) and start again in another thread because of somesones comment. If you feel you have made mention of this previous think about it before typing it again.

Dont post for sale items in more than one area eg Buy/Sell/Trade area and under the Set Information area.

No personal comments about people, you never know who is freinds with who.

If you have comments regard this post or feel something more should be added please PM me or email me
